It's a huge restaurant rather than a pub - although there is a few tables scattered around by the bar for drinking only purposes. We were hungry though so sat in the main munching area. The Mansion House is a massive old building surrounding by acres and acres of Prospect Park. It's a great location and an impressive building - so it's a shame its a bit dull inside really. There's loads of room and high ceilings going on but it's too much like the chain pub style restaurant that it is. You'd only really come here to eat. G.
The food order point is at one end of this place and the bar is at the other so I haev no idea of what was on offer drink wise. It is a restaurant really though and it is very much a chain and feels just like all these kind of chains but the building is actually to big and open with high ceilings to give it a pleasant atmoshpere of any kind. Feels a bit like a big food hall with pub style carpets really. Can't knock the food though. I had the sausage and mash in giant Yorkshire and, like a few of these chains, you get a very large plateful for your pounds but I thought this was was also pretty tasty. As G said, the setting is nice but once you are inside this could be just of the IDR for all you can tell. They really should try to make the most of the location. S.

Average really. No proper beer going on, Flowers was the symbolic bitter available. G.
I never even saw the bar in this place. I was at the other end ordering food. S.
