ORIGINAL REVIEW: 10 July 2004 |
After the Claddagh Ring earlier in the night this was a most refreshing change in being made very welcome to a pub. There was only a handful of people in the pub on arrival, but soon enough we were treated to an impressive display from the pub's own resident magic man - a Mr. Phill McGurk (picture of Phill and Sal). Now I may have been a bit pissed but I was certainly extremely impressed with his cunning misdirection and sleight of hand. Also they let certain members of our group play darts (badly - and I'll get in trouble for that), which all added up to a very good pub experience. The pub itself was very (too) brightly lit, so no excuses for missing the dart board girls. G.
Who are you calling a girl! S.
Is that an admission you were missing the dart board? G.
Only when I was aiming at you! S.

BEER EXPERIENCE |
Can't remember much about the beer, but I'm sure the Youngs slipped down without any real difficulty, so it must have been a decent enough pint. G.
Ah, we really must try to take more notice when we go into a pub for this part of the review, I can't recall much really on the beer selection and I guess it didn't help that we had already had quite a lot to drink! S.

"Awful pub. Just been refused a licence extension. Should have been awarded a licence reduction!"
