We don't want to promote the evils of drink driving, but picture two shows you Stevie just parking up his new car down the road from the Queens Arms. Nice motor. Disclaimer: This is obviously not true as our mission is very much walking/crawling based. However, we are discovering some choice areas of Reading such as this underpass underneath Chatham Street - one of the real classy areas of town. Still, even surrounded by all this filth, and burnt out cars, the Queens Arms and The Butler were both pleasant enough establishments. There was nothing wrong with the Queens Arms at all, a small set of jolly locals, plants trailing all around the pub and neat and tidy compared to what lurks outside the door. G.
The Queens Arms was a pleasant surprise to me. I was imagining somewhere you wouldn't want to go and I may not go there again but that's just because it's not my local but if it's yours you would be very happy I'm sure. It's good to see these places, decent enough decor and as G said the plants were of particular interest. Can't remember much else though. S

Personally I think the beer wasn't quite conditioned enough - it wasn't bad but had a not quite ready taste to it. Still, good effort having a cask beer, and they also had Greene King IPA on the go. So not bad for beer, but room for improvement. G.
I haven't done the review for sooo long I cannot remember things very well here. I think I will just go along with what he said. S.
