ORIGINAL REVIEW: 21 August 2007
Small, funky cocktail bar at the bottom of the ground floor of Kings Walk. Full of trendy people. And me and S-Man. Painted pink down one half with clear chandeliers dangling from the ceiling, then white painted with black chandeliers down the other end. Funky. Oh, and a groovy swing door in the gents bogs. It's all flooding back now... they had clear patio stlye plastic seats with embedded pink orchards or something. Man this place was so damn cool, I'm suprised they let me in. G.
BEER EXPERIENCE
It's a cocktail bar and doesn't want to be anything else. So really I should have taken the plunge and tried one out. Or gone for Champagne, which is the other acceptable drink here. However, it was a beer kind of night and they had Japanese beer on tap - so it had to be done. Kirin was a pleasant enough lager and quite a novelty to find in a Reading bar, but memory isn't revealing much else to me! G.

"Had good expectations and the staff were friendly enough... but... ordered a margarita and it tasted strongly of apples!! and although i'm typically English and don't like to complain I did, the bartender tasted it and thought it was fine - he even asked his colleague to taste it who agreed it was ok. It wasn't - I run a cocktail bar and have been in the industry for the last four years and margaritas shouldn't taste like APPLES.. I swapped it for an Amstel - which was fine."
